Today we caught the train from Formby to Liverpool Central at a bargain price of £5.10p.

We walked to the Albert docks and along to where the ferry crosses the Mersey, where we went in the Beatles shop. As we came out it started to rain so we had a drink in the Fab 4 cafe.

We decided to jump on the city sightseeing bus and we went round the whole route enjoying the commentary, and on the second lap we got off and walked up to the Cavern Club. We had a look inside and enjoyed a nice beer whilst listen to someone playing the guitar and singing.

We then caught the bus again as far as the Roman Catholic Cathedral, a beautiful building and stunning inside. We hopped back on the bus and dropped into the Anglican Cathedral which was beautiful in a totally different way.

We caught the bus back to Albert docks and then walked to Chinatown but didn’t fancy any of the restaurants there so walked all the way back to an all you can eat buffet near the station caught the 2038 train back feeling shattered.
