After a couple of hours shopping we had dinner at The White Hart. A bit expensive and nothing special. A bit more shopping followed by a leisurely stroll back to catch the bus down by the river.
After a nice cuppa with Glynis and family we had a stroll around the trade stands. We bought an electric fan for £8 and an electric Hoover for £30.
A bit of a chill and Salmon Roll later and we were ready for Saturday night’s entertainment.
Had to queue up with Michelle and Gracie for 15 minutes before a mad dash for a table.
First up tonight was The Q Band. A five piece show band singing some old classic songs. Musically they were great. The female vocalist was pretty good but the Organ player, with the worst frizzy pony tail I have ever seen, who also sang lead vocals on a lot of the songs, was a bit weak. His falsetto Barry Gibb impression being particularly bad.
Top of the bill was Freddie "Parrot-face" Davies. He was celebrating 50 years since he appeared on Opportunity Knocks. I saw Freddie at Great Yarmouth when I was about 10. He was surprisingly good. A second set from The Q Band rounded the evening off before another short stroll back and another good night’s sleep.
